Alex Randolph Wolfe—much-loved husband, stepfather, son, brother, uncle and friend—died December 11, 2023. He was fifty years old. He was preceded in death by his father, Peck Wolfe and father-in-law Steve Young.
Alex was born in Columbus, November 30, 1973. He was a graduate of Circleville High School and attended the University of Cincinnati and Columbus State Community College. He met the love of his life, Mary Young, in 1995; they married in 2001.
Alex was an excavator, or as he would say, he "played in the dirt." He owned and operated Wolfe Construction, the business founded by his father. Alex's work ethic there was legendary.
He was an incorrigible jokester, prankster and bestower of nicknames. When he wasn't working or making someone laugh, he was adopting stray cats. Between work and home he had five he adored.
He is survived by his wife Mary, his stepson Isaac Young (Marinda), his mother Marilyn, his mother-in-law Kathleen Riley (Richard), his sisters Stephanie Schill (Will) and Michelle Wolfe, his brother-in-law Philip (Kelsey) Young, his nephews Wesley Schill and Kenton Johnson, niece Kinley Johnson and many dear friends.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Visitation will be on Friday from 1-7 p.m. with Elder Richard Riley Jr. officiating.
