Alfred Clifton

Alfred “Gene” Clifton, 71, of Vinton County, Ohio, went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 18, 2025. He was born January 16, 1954 to Alfred and Violet Clifton. He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Aisha Clifton, step-granddaughter Aria Rowley and nephew Michael McCabe. He is survived by his wife of 32 years Judy Clifton, daughters Tonya (Boomer) McCollister, Amanda (Allen) Vanderpool and Jeanie (Kevin) Clifton, step-son Lee (Carla) Rowley, his siblings Teresa Mayes and Lisa (Carl) Frock, his grandchildren Chance Dowland, Joshua (Gaberial) Clifton, Corey (Becca) Dowland, Jacob Cain, Kianna (Spencer) Mulldune, Kylea (Josh) Williams, Sarah Cain, Shyanne Sheets, Cayden Sheets, Gabriel Baer, ten great grandchildren, nephews Nathan (Jason) Vanover and Matthew McCabe. Gene was a devoted member of the Circleville Church of Christ, as well as Williston Florida Church of Christ where he lived for 22 years. He loved being a song leader at the church and was also a very talented drummer. He played for many bands from the 70’s well into the 2000’s. He was an amazing man who loved the Lord and his family. He was a 1973 graduate of Amanda Clearcreek. He worked alongside of his father for many years and built many homes in the Circleville area. He never met a stranger and was loved by all.
