Alton Bloomfield

Alton Bloomfield, 83, of Chillicothe passed away on May 14, 2018.  He was born on August 24, 1934 in Camp Dix, KY to Ruben and Laura (Stafford) Bloomfield.  He retired from GE in 1994 after 25 years of service.  He was a member of Jackson CCCU, attended Circleville Bible College, was a strong man of faith and was a former song evangelist with wife Janet.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by son David Bloomfield, sisters Dorothy Hamilton, Millie Fannin, Beatrice Thacker, Betty Hamilton, and by brothers Estille Bloomfield and Walter “Bum” Bloomfield.  Alton is survived by his wife Janet (Morgan) Bloomfield, sons Gregory (Vicky) and Jeffrey (Carol) Bloomfield, grandchildren Justin, Nathan, Nick, Courtney, Bethany, Laura, Hannah and Katie, great grandsons Gabriel, Michael and Hunter and by one sister Faye (Fred Jr.) Blankenship.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Crossroads Church, 5679 Tarlton Road, Circleville, Ohio.  Burial will follow in Floral Hills Cemetery.  Friends may call at the church on Friday from 10-1.  Memorial contributions are suggested to CCCU Missionary Dept., 1553 Lancaster Pike, Circleville, Ohio 43113 or Parkinson Foundation, 200 SE 1st.
