Alva Keeton

Alva J. Keeton, 85, of Circleville, passed away on February 24, 2023 at OSU Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.  He was born January 24, 1938 in Kingston, Ohio, the son of Emery and Ina (Jarrell) Keeton.  Preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 34 years, JoAnn (Holland) Keeton, on July 14, 1994, also preceded in death by his second wife Yvonne (McNaughton) Keeton on January 30, 2023.  Preceded in death by siblings, Delena Brittain, Mervil Keeton, Lavona Holbrook, James Keeton, Larry Keeton and Charlane Holbrook.  Alva is survived by his children, Randy Keeton of Chillicothe, Terry Crumley (Teresa Wagh) of Laurelville, Tonja Knapp of Circleville, Brenda (Larry) Reed of Circleville, Tammy (Douglas) McGlone of Circleville, Kevin (Shauna) Keeton of Circleville and Travis Keeton of Mt. Sterling, grandchildren Kelly Jo, Lacinda, Jennifer, Drew, Austin, Logan, Colton, Weston, Samantha, Steve, River, Janey, and TC numerous nieces and nephews, whom he also cherished, siblings Roberta Dehaven of Kentucky and Donna (Mark) Hoffman of Circleville.  Alva retired from Midwest Fabricating.  He was an active member of the Laurelville Church of God.  He enjoyed woodworking and carpentry, always carrying a tool box in the truck ready to help when needed.  Alva had a way of lighting up a room with his infectious smile, wit and humor.  His caring personality was one of his biggest attributes along with the amazing love he had for his family and friends and most of all God.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Wellman Funeral Home with burial to follow in Floral Hills Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11-1 at the funeral home.  Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
