Arthur Greene

“Precious in the eyes of the Lord, are the death of His Saints.”PS. 116:15. Arthur Austin Greene, 80, of Chillicothe passed peacefully at 11:43 a.m. January 21, 2016 at Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born January 17, 1936 in Sabina, Ohio. Art is the son of the late Austin Greene and Mary (McFadden) Greene. He is survived by his faithful wife; Jerry Lucille (Park) Greene of Chillicothe and his sons; Ronald (Cindy) Greene of Washington C.H., Ohio and Arthur Greene Jr. of Circleville, Ohio several grandchildren and a great grandchild, brother; Richard (Joyce) Greene of Circleville, Ohio, and sister; Dora Mae Reichelderfer of Calimesa, California, step-daughters; Cathy Imboden and Melissa (John) Dearth of Chillicothe. Arthur was predeceased by his mother and father, brother; David Greene, and son; Gregory Greene. Arthur proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a decorated soldier during the Korean and Cold War Conflicts. Arthur was a retired farmer and an employee of thirty-one years of the DuPont Corporation in Pickaway County. Arthur attended Springbank Church in Yellowbud, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with Father Dave Getreu officiating. Graveside will be at 1:00 p.m. at the Centerville Cemetery in Clinton County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00.
