Bernice Byers

Bernice Starkey Byers, 82, of Circleville, died November 28, 2010 at her residence. She was born April 24, 1928 in Pickaway County the daughter of Edward and Ethel ( Hanley) Starkey, Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest Byers; daughter, Kathy Hudak; brothers, Roy, Charles and Edward Starkey, Jr. and sisters, Isabelle Stonerock, Norma Jean Hastings and Annabelle Hagerman. She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Tom) Hartsaugh of Circleville; sons, Bob (Mary) Byers of Stoutsville, Ronald (Yvette) Byers of Arizona and Edwin Byers of Circleville; sisters, Bernadine Berk of Fredericktown and Wanda Adams of Circleville; brother, Gerald (Mary Jo) Starkey of Kingston; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; special daughter-in-law and her family, Marsha Hawks Byers, Tessa Ann, Brandon and Zachary and special friends, Mary Ann Jones, Carl and Judy Riencheld, Jeff Penrod and Patty and Pam Billingsly. Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 3, 2010 at 1:00 pm at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
