Bernice Rock

Bernice Kennedy Rock, 83, of Circleville, died June 2, 2012 at her residence. She was born February 14, 1929 in Bradford, PA, the daughter of Edward and Blanche (Pendelton) Black. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, James A. Kennedy; sons, Gregg E. and James L. Kennedy and 1 grandchild. She is survived by her husband, Melvin Rock; children, Christine Gandy of SC, Robert (Denise) Kennedy of KY and Penney (Alvin) Bowling of OH; step-children, Suzanne Coleman, Melvin (Ruth) Rock,II, Gail and Jody Rock all of OH and Donald (Terry) Rock of AZ; 12 grandchildren; 11 step grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and brother, Bernard (Janice) Black of OH. Funeral service will be held 12:00 noon Wednesday June 6, 2012 at the Resurrection Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Blakeman officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Berger Hospice.
