Bette Archer Brown, 84, of Circleville, passed away December 16, 2014 at Brown Memorial Nursing Home. She was born July 14, 1930 in Williamsport, the daughter of Cyle and Otha (Imler) Martin. She retired from General Electric with 30 plus years of service, was a member of Hedges Chapel United Methodist Church and in later years a member of Hedges Chapel Church of Christ in Christian Union, member of Circleville Garden Club and G.E. Retirees and a Berger Hospital Volunteer. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lowell Archer who she married on August 30, 1948 and son, Ed Archer. She is survived by her husband, Richard Brown; children, Keith (Debbie) Archer of Circleville, Tony (Marcy) Archer of Ashville, Kevin (Glenna) Archer of Ashville, Rodney (Linda) Archer of Circleville and Lori (Carl) DeBruin of Stoutsville; daughter-in-law, Alayne Archer, FL; grandchildren, Heath Archer, Alisha (Greg) Sumner, Heath (Jenny) Clifton, Brittany (Chris) Kirby, Jason (Stephanie) Archer, Kelly (Mike) Wright, Julie (Babu) Archer-Sreekanth, Jamie (Matt) Waters, Lindsey (Donovan) Dixon, Nathan and Brandon Archer, Natalie DeBruin and Sarah (Robert) Dedinsky; 20 great grandchildren; siblings, Julia (Melvin) Poling, Marilyn (Gordon) Price, Martha (Joe) Frazier, Lorraine Stephens, Glenn Martin, Gerald “Howard” (Helen) Martin and Franklin (Marzetta) Martin; sisters-in-law, Martha Malin and Connie Archer; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; Richard’s children, Rick (Amy) Brown, Monty (Vanessa) Brown, Bruce (Sherry) Brown and Eric (Jonda) Brown. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday December 19, 2014 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville, with Pastor Ron Reese officiating. Burial will be in Reber Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Fund, American Cancer Society or Hedges Chapel CCCU.
