Betty Knisley

Betty Knisley, age 79, went to be with the Lord April 28, 2017. She was born July 11, 1937 to John and Wanda Martindale in New Holland, Ohio. Betty knew the Lord as a teen-ager and church and serving the Lord were always important parts of her life. A graduate of Washington Senior High School, Betty lived in the Washington Court House area before moving to Georgia then Tennessee. Betty retired from the Dekalb County Sheriff’s Dept. in Decatur, GA. She came back 5 years ago to the Circleville area. She loved to camp, write, paint, cook and spend time with her family, friends and cousins. Wherever she lived, Betty attracted friends with her sparkling and flamboyant personality whether at work, at church singing in the choir or volunteering. She is survived by daughters Sue Benner of Circleville, OH, Twana (Kerry) Beaver of Wildwood, MO, Mary (John) Keenan of Cleveland, TN and a son Brian (Kellie) Knisley of Canton, GA. Betty was Grandma to Shelley (Robert) Fauver and Krista Benner of Circleville, Jay Knisley of Columbia, SC, Bryson Beaver of Wildwood, MO and Rachel and Sean Keenan of Cleveland, TN. Betty was also great grandma to Anthony, Amaya and Aliya Fauver of Circleville and by brother Robert (Donna) Martindale and niece Diana Martindale all of Westerville. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Wellman Funeral Home, 1455 North Court Street, Circleville with Rev. Dean Queen officiating. Burial will be in Hitler Ludwig Cemetery immediately following the service. Calling hours will be Saturday May 6, 2017 from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at 1.
