Beulah Burgess

Beulah Burgess, age 82, of Circleville,went to heaven on May 7, 2016, where she no longer suffers any pain or breathing problems. She is praising God and enjoying her reunion with her family and friends that have gone on before her. Beulah moved to Circleville when her husband's job was transferred here in 1964.Beulah was born March 1, 1934, in Coalburg, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Masil and Albert Pettry. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe, son, Joe Jr., daughter, Beverly Scarbro, brothers, Sherman, Kenneth, George, James, Sammy, sisters, Annamae Rouse and Brenda Skidmore. Beulah is survived by sisters, Connie (Tommy) Smith, Linda Jean Pritt,and Maxine Pomeroy, son: Jerry, grandchildren: Jerry Lee Burgess(Tina), Sabrina Burgess (Brian Abernathy), Angie Hardman (Corey), Brandon Burgess (Jeannie), great grandchildren: Dalton, Brian, Mackenzie, Hope, Kaylee, Javid, Quinton and Zailie. She also leaves behind many loving family members, church family and friends. Beulah began attending the North Court Church of Christ in 1964, where she made many wonderful and faithful friends. When Beulah could no longer live alone, her daughter, Beverly, cared for her in her home, until her untimely death in May of 2013. At that time, her granddaughter, Angie and her husband took "granny" in and cared for her until November of 2015, when she became a resident of Brown Memorial Home. She received the best care and made more wonderful friends,some became as close as family. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016,at the Wellman Funeral Home in Circleville at 5:00 P.M. with Jack Ables officiating. Friends and family may call on Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. On Wednesday, May 11, 2016, there will be a visitation at 11:00 A.M., followed by a service at noon, at the Dry Branch Freewill Baptist Church in Dry Branch, West Virginia.Interment will follow at the Canawha Valley Memorial Gardens in Glasgow, West Virginia.
