William G. Trimble, of Ashville, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, passed away on September 20, 2010 at St. Ann’s Mt. Carmel West Hospital. William “Bill” was born on November 3, 1919 in Key, OH to the late Paul and Blanche (Craig) Trimble. He later moved with his family to Kent, OH where he was raised. Bill gave 90 years of service to his family, his community and his country. He faithfully served his country in the regular U.S. Army at the start of WWII and the U.S. Air Force for 25 years. After retirement, he gained employment with Executive Jet Aviation (EJA). He joined the staff of EJA with General O.F. Lassiter and Major Dwaine Gould, retired A.F. Officer Evert Terry and Torch Lewis, which is now known as Net Jets. Preceded in death by his parents, loving companion and wife, Margaret “Peg” Trimble; brothers, Robert Trimble of Mesa, AZ and Gene Trimble of Kent, OH and grandson, Harrison Trimble, of Ashville. He is survived by his loving and devoted children, Sandy (Mike) Wilson of Ashville, Terry (Tony) Meleca of Columbus and Jeff (Tandy) Trimble of Commercial Point; grandchildren, Barbara (Jeff) Hart of Cape May, NJ, Lisa (Nate) Barnhart of Ashville, Erika (John) Schorejs and Jason (Meghan) Cromley of Hilliard; great grandchildren, Morgan and Wilson Hart, Will and Mallory Cromley and Jackson and Jeffrey Schorejs. He was a wonderful, devoted christian and follower of Jesus Christ. He was an avid and competive golfer who loved playing with friends and family. He thoroughly enjoyed and loved his Thursday morning Bible Study group. He was a member of the Nazarene Church, Circleville, Gideons International and a frequent attendee of the Village Chapel United Methodist Church. Surely God has taken a loving, precious soul from us, but we will meet him somewhere in Heaven. He has already spread his wings and is flying with the angels and his Mimi. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday September 24, 2010 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Ashville. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with military graveside honors. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International.
