Candy (Ream) Karr

Candy C. Karr, 68, of Laurelville, Ohio passed away peacefully on May 13, 2024 after fighting a 12 year courageous battle with cancer until the Lord called her home.  She was born on February 3, 1956 in Adelphi, Ohio to Clifford E. and Katherine “Marie” (Henderson) Ream Sr. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Clifford Ream Jr. She attended the Laurelville Church of God in her youth and her later years.  She loved her church and her church family.  Candy was a homemaker, loved camping at Pigeon Forge, yard work and taking care of her pets.  She is survived by her husband of 48 years Charles “Charlie” Karr; best friend since 2nd grade who was like a sister to her Roberta “Bertie” Spung; sisters Carolyn Wharton, Cindy Ream, brother Curtis (Renee) Ream, nephews and nieces; Frank Wharton, Chris (Mary) Radabaugh, Clifton (Brittany) Ream Mindy (Troyce) Martin, Cary (Chris) Dennis; several great nieces and nephews; aunts Marguarite Riddle, Cheryl Hurlbut, Marilyn Chavalia, Shelba Berger and last but not least Cody her Cat.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville with burial to follow in Green Summit Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-7 p.m.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to The James Cancer, 460 West 10th Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43210.  Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
