Carl Collins, 82, of Fairborn, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2009. He was born on January 8, 1927 in Dony, Kentucky to Ervin and Nancy (Blevins) Collins. Mr. Collins an Army veteran was a member of Free Will Baptist Church and a member of Fairborn VFW 6861.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Marlie (Vance) Collins, his second wife Lillian Louise (Gross) Collins, grandchildren, Marlena Walters and Debra Hutchinson and by three sisters and two brothers.
Mr. Collins is survived by his children all of Fairborn, Carolyn (Hank) Walters, Mikell (Kathy) Collins, Carleen (John) Griffin, Carla (Crandall) Henson, grandchildren, Mark (Pam) Walters of Enon, Mindy (Andy) Ferguson of Dayton, Chad (Stacie) Collins, Cassie (Levi) Gibson, Carrie (Joel) Ricketts, Crandall Cody Henson all of Fairborn, 14 great grandchildren, two sisters, Pearl Henderson of Morehead, Kentucky, Jeanie Collins of Ironton and by one brother Gale (Kathy) Collins of Ashland, Kentucky.
Funeral services for Mr. Collins will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Fairborn Free Will Baptist Church with Dr. Stuart Snow officiating. Burial will follow in Byron Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
