Carol Cole

Carol Cole, 77, of Circleville died on Saturday, May 17, 2014. She was born on December 27, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio. She graduated from Columbus East in 1954, retired from Ohio Bureau of Employment Services as an accountant, actively worked to establish collective bargaining for Ohio public employees, active member of Pickaway County Democratic Party, member of Circleville local Quaker Group , active member of Pickaway Senior Center, volunteered at Circle Area Humane Society and Aid to Retarded Children (ARC), longtime fan of Cleveland Indians, longtime active resident of Groveport involved in the schools, zoning and other matters and was a kind hearted lover of animals and people. She was preceded in death by parents, Parker and Lucille (Sheridan) Wheeler and her husband, Philip Cole. Survivors include her children Kathleen and Roger (Heidi) Cole, granddaughters, Jacqueline Ratliff and Madeline Cole, and by brother, Tom Wheeler. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. in the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with Rev. Paul Fowler officiating. Burial will take place in Reber Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12. Memorial contributions are suggested to Circle Area Humane Society.
