Carolyn Rosier Clemons, 85, of Circleville, Ohio peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 22, 2023, surrounded by those she loved. She was born on December 14, 1937, in Jacksonville Florida, Duval County, to Sterling R. and Emma (Becker) Rosier.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Pearl June (Jack) Rosier Jordan; aunt Margaret (Wilson) Swilley; and niece Julie Jordan. Carolyn is survived by her husband Robert J. Clemons; stepdaughters Dawn Clemons-Cline (OH), Jodie (Shawn) Moffett (FL), Amy (Scott) Rouse (OH); granddaughters Nikkita Cline (OH) and Khrysteena Ryan (NC); great granddaughter Raevan Ryan (NC); sister Pauline Phipps (NC); niece Jessica (Sean) Owen; nephews Jonathan (Susan) Jordan (FL), Joseph “Kelly” (Denise) Jordan (FL), Steven (Melissa) Phipps (NC), and Phillip Phipps (MD); great niece Michelle (Keith) Baxter (NC), Marie Collins (NC), Brittany Jordan (FL), Tiffany (Max) Arnold, Lorin Collins (NC), and Emily Jordan (FL); great nephews Jared (Carolyn) Jordan (FL), Travis Baxter (NC), and Andrew Jordan (FL); and numerous cousins, and other family. Good friends William & Teresa Archer (OH).
Already a graduate nurse, Carolyn joined the United States Air Force Reserves, completing the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine (Brooks Air Force Base, Texas), and served as a Flight Nurse, with the rank of Nurse Major. Carolyn continued her nursing career at Baptist Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. She was later recognized in 1972, as the “Nurse of the Year” by the Florida State Association of Industrial Nurses. Carolyn later relocated to Columbus, Ohio and retired as the Occupational Health Nurse from Mars Petcare in February 1998. She continued to be an active member of her church and community in Circleville, Ohio.
Both visitation & services will be held at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville, Ohio. The family will be receiving visitation on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Burial, to follow in Forest Cemetery.
