Charlene (Char) Eleanor (Brobst) Catlett, 82, of Circleville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 27, 2017. Charlene was born in Cedar Hill, Ohio on July 3, 1934 to Robert G. and Dorothy Evelyn (Winn) Brobst and raised on her father’s farm that she loved so much. Charlene was an Army wife and is survived by her husband, Lt. Colonel Richard W. Catlett, son, Don Marshall, daughter, Kelly Ann, son, Richard Eric (Barbara) and grandchildren, Christina L. Catlett (Eric) Wiseman, Lisa Ashley, Drew Austin, Mollie Anne Catlett, great grandchild Viviana Rose Wiseman, nieces Susan Burleson, Vicky Davy, nephews Stephen Loucks and Rod Brobst. Charlene was a very active board member of St. John Church of Stoutsville. As a youth, she was active in 4-H, and attended Pontius UM Church. She loved music but most of all she loved her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed several years serving as a Red Cross volunteer at Berger Hospital. While serving in the Army with her husband, she lived at Fort Knox, KY, Pacific Grove, CA., Fort Bragg NC, Fort Richardson, AK, Fort Leavenworth, KS and Fairfax VA. Her favorite places were California but most of all at Fort Richardson AK where she was very active in the officers’ wife club and a very avid weekend camper. Charlene was preceded in death by parents, 1st husband Donald Stauffer, brother Bobby Lee and sister Barbara Evelyn and her beloved Aunt Ethel Brobst. A private funeral service will be held at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with Pastor Ted Davis officiating with burial to follow in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Humane Society of the United States, 2100L Street NW, Washington D.C. 20037 or National Stroke Association, 9707 East Easter Lane, Suite B, Centennial CO 80112.
