Charles Jolliffe

Charles N. Jolliffe, 83, of Circleville, died December 26, 2009 in Columbus. He was born February 25, 1926 in Winchester, VA., the son of Laurence and Ethel (Baldwin) Jolliffe. Charles was a Navy veteran of WWII, received his bachelor degree in engineering from University of Virginia and worked as an electrical engineer at E.I. Dupont where he was Sr. Research Scientist. He was a member of St. Claires Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife Jacqueline (McNabb) Jolliffe and brother Joseph. He is survived by his wife Betty (Redfern) Jolliffe; children Lee Baldwin Jolliffe, Tracy Laurence Jolliffe and Steven Paige Jolliffe; grandchildren Grayson Jolliffe Bond, Jacqueline Elizabeth, Katherine Elaine and Jesse Alexander Heggs, Jeffrey Neill, Melissa Paige and Jennifer Leslie Jolliffe; step-children Alex and Beth Bearov and their children Meredith, Kathryn, Stuart, Holly, Emily and Chris; sister Charlotte Fetterman; brother Arthur Jolliffe and sister-in-law Mary Jolliffe. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday December 30, 2009 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Green Summit Cemetery, Adelphi. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Assoc.
