Charles Sims

Charles J. Sims, 86, of Circleville passed away on April 5, 2017. He was born in Gallipolis on November 23, 1930 to Charles and Mary (Broomfield) Sims. He was a US Marine serving from 1951 to 1953. Charles retired from AEP Electric Company with 36 years of service and former founder and Pastor of River of Life Church of God for 20 years. He loved his Lord Jesus Christ and the people that he pastored. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Charles is survived by his wife Mary Lee (Combs) Sims, son Chuck (Sharon) Sims, daughter Patty (Steve) Sharp, grandchildren Janet (Steve) Wastier, Steve (Charity) Sharp, Chuckie (Jill) Sims, Dave (Melinda) Sharp, great grandchildren Courtney, Olivia, Lexy, Alyssa, Lillie, Ella, Troy, Zac and Luke and by sister Kathryn Casey. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at River of Life Church with Pastor Donald Combs officiating. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery.
