Charles “Mick” Young, 73, of Laurelville passed away at his home on Saturday, October 18th with his loving wife, Linda by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents; M.L. and Madge Young and one brother, Max Young. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda; sons; Todd (Melody) Young, Brad (Susan) Young, Mark Shively, daughter; Jennia Shively, grandchildren; Brandy, Billy, Nikki, Dillon and Ridge Young, Jacob, Luke, and Sydney Shively and Abigail Breece, two brothers; Roger (Pat) and John (Rhonda) bother of Florida. He is also survived by two great grandchildren. Mick was born August 15th, 1941 in Laurelville, Ohio where he spent his entire life. He was part of the Young’s family business which has flourished in Laurelville for many years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, an avid NASCAR fan (especially Dale Earnhardt), and a die-hard Brown’s fan. Over many years he was a big supporter of the village of Laurelville and the Laurelville Volunteer Fire Department. Services will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville with Pastor Brian Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Green Summit Cemetery.
