Our beloved father, Clifford Eugene Ream Sr., 90, of Laurelville went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 9, 2016 at Brown Memorial in Circleville. He was born July 7, 1925 in Columbus, Ohio son of the late Trafford B. and Annabelle (Chisholm) Ream. Clifford was raised by a much loved father; Michael Berger Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 57 years, Katherine Marie Ream, brothers; Lewis Wilhelm, William Ream and Michael Berger Jr., sisters; Martha Preston, Joan Blaschke and Nawona Ream and his special shipmates; Rev. Paul Johnson and Ray Young. Clifford is survived by his children; Carolyn (Dan) Wharton, Clifford Ream Jr., Cindy Ream, Candy (Charlie) Karr, Curtis (Renee) Ream, grandchildren; Frank Wharton, Chris Radabaugh, Mindy (Troyce) Martin, Cary (Chris) Dennis, Clifton (Rachel) Ream, six great grandchildren, one great, great, great grandchild and many nieces and nephews, sister; Marilyn Chavalia of Grafton, Ohio, sister-in-law; Shelba Berger, brother-in-law; Joe Brown, special friends; Thelma Johnson, Eva Griffin, Albert Ward, childhood friend; Fred Burton and his cherished cat; Jake. Clifford was a World War II Veteran of the United States Navy where he proudly served upon the USS Pamanset AO-85 from 1943 to 1946 as a coxswain. He worked at Fetherolf Meat Packing Company for 18 years, Helfrich Super Market for 25 years in Washington Court House and Youngs Family Market as a butcher. As a young man he worked for the Spaun Family Show which was a Traveling Vaudeville Act and Moving Picture Show doing numerous odd jobs which he was very proud of. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the Wellman Funeral Home in Laurelville with Chaplain Jim Ferrell and Pastor Steve Hayes. Burial will be at Green Summit Cemetery with military honors. Friends may call Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in Laurelville. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Brown Memorial Home for the tender loving care they gave our father.
