Clinton Ray Holbrook, 74, of Circleville, passed away November 24, 2011 in his home. Clinton was born August 17, 1937 in Marion, OH the son of James and Elizabeth Holbrook. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lavona Holbrook, one brother Jimmy Holbrook. He is survived by his son Allen (Brenda) Holbrook of Circleville, daughter Karen (Ronald) Reeves of Circleville; grandsons Jeremy (Cheryl), Adam (Jayme) and Bradley Holbrook, granddaughter Karrie Reeves, great-grandson Austin Holbrook, great-granddaughters Natalie, Sadie, Ellie and Aubrey Holbrook, sister Carol (Urban) Adams of Circleville, brothers Clayton (Carolyn) Holbrook of Laurelville and Paul (Jeanette) Holbrook of Circleville and numerous nieces and nephews. Clinton and Lavona were married on November 5, 1956 in Yellowbud. They celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary in 2007. Clinton retired from Dupont. Clinton will be greatly missed by all of those who knew him. He had a love for electronics and saw great value in organization. Those that were close to him know most items in his home were labeled and many lists could be found lying around. Clinton loved spending time with family and never hesitated to express how blessed he was to have them. Spending time at Bob Evans with his extended family was an activity he looked forward to everyday. Clinton will forever be remembered by his loved ones as having the sternest of handshakes and the softest of hearts. Family and friends take comfort in knowing he is joining his late wife Lavona and has made it home. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday November 28, 2011 at Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with Pastor Greg Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery.
