Clyde Chancey left this world of pain May 7, 2007 and has passed into the arms of Jesus, there to live to never feel another pain forever more. Mr. Chancey was born August 21, 1940 in Scioto Co. the son of Clyde and Felcia (Short) Chancey. He served tirelessly as a deacon for twenty years in the Columbus Baptist Church where he also served as Sunday School superintendent, class teacher and treasurer. Mr. Chancey was preceded in death by his parents; great-granddaughters Gracie and Emily and 1 brother. Mr. Chancey and his wife Zelma have a son Christopher Ryan (Kathy); daughter Rebecca; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and sisters Elaine Chancey, Kathy (Don) Blanton and Darlene (Herb) Dillon. Clyde and Zelma have attended Crossroads Church for 13 years and appreciate the love and care from the church family. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday May 9, 2007 at Crossroads Church 5679 Tarlton Rd. Circleville with Pastor Paul Elswick officiating. Friends may call from 10:30 until time of service Wednesday at the church. Arrangements were completed by Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville.
