Clyde Eugene Speakman, 75, of Circleville, passed away December 12, 2009 at Berger Hospital. He was born November 6, 1934 in Vinton Co. the son of Beaman and Flota (Davis) Speakman. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Paul “Sam” Speakman and brother-in-law Paul Smith. Clyde was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, retired from Dupont and was a barber for many years in Ashville. He is survived by his wife Nancy Jane (Chester) Speakman; sons Michael (Debra) Speakman, Randy Speakman, Rusty (Jennifer) Speakman; daughter Gina (Mike) Stiles; grandchildren April (Jim) Rhodes, Nicholas and Nyles Speakman, Leah and Ean Stiles and Rhett Speakman; great-grandchildren Ethan, Lily and Alex Rhodes; sisters, Linda (Ronnie) Waugh of Williamsport and Beatrice Smith of Circleville; sister-in-law, Faye Speakman of Whisler and special friend Rev. Don Sparks of Chillicothe. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday December 16, 2009 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Springlawn Cemetery with Amvets military graveside honors. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Berger Hospice.
