Clyde R. Stinard, 80, of Laurelville, died June 21, 2007 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital. He was born April 17, 1927 in Jefferson County, the son of the late Clyde and Mabel (Pasco) Stinard. He was a Army veteran in Seoul, Korea, 207th Military Police Company from August 14, 1945-January 23, 1947, retired supervisor from General Electric, member of Trinity United Methodist Church and President of Fellowship Pickaway Senior Center. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Virginia (Hunt) Stinard, whom he married January 25, 1946 in Greenup, KY; daughters, Deborah Jane (Bob) Dumm of Laurelville and Kimberly Kay Stinard of Amanda; grandchildren, George N. (Paula) Dumm, II, Bobbie Jo Dumm and Elijah J. (Paula) Dumm; great grandchildren, Tanner and Olivia Dumm and one on the way; God granddaughter, Destiny Harden; step great grandchild, Spencer Burton and special cousins, Jeanette Ogdon of Dillonvale and Ralph Stinard of Wintersville. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday June 24, 2007 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville. Burial will be in Green Summit Cemetery with military graveside honors. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity U.M.C. or Pickaway Senior Center.
