David Carney

David Carney, 65, of Laurelville passed away on May 8, 2022.  He was born on November 26, 1956 in Chillicothe to Stillman “Monk” and Rosemary (Ackley) VanSickle.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a nephew Shaun Carney.  He was a carpenter and belonged to Ohio Carpenter Union Local 200.  He was an outdoorsman and loved to mushroom hunt and fish.  David is survived by his siblings Robert (Martha) Carney, Kathy (Jerry) Hedges, nephews Scott and Bobby Carney, Jerry and Chris Hedges, niece Karrie Hedges and best friend Rob Shaw.  Visitation will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. at Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville.  Cremation will follow.  The family would like to give special thanks to Violet and Don Shaw.  Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
