David Lee Church

David Lee Church, 83, of Amanda, Ohio passed away on August 19, 2023.  He was born on May 19, 1940 in Portsmouth to Paul and Roberta (Kidd) Church.  David a United State Marine Corp and Navy Veteran, loved spending time with his family and had many outside interests including working in his garden, raising prize winning beagles, riding Goldwing motorcycles, showing horses, welding, and watching Ohio State football and Cleveland Indians baseball.  He was an auctioneer, a pilot, a stock car driver, and proud spectator at all of his grandkids baseball games, dance recitals, and cheer competitions.  He was a son, brother, husband, father, papaw and friend.  His life was and continues to be a blessing to his family and friends.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Paul David Church.  David is survived by his wife Linda (Rinehart) Church; children Amanda (Ryan) Miller and Lindsay (Aaron) McManes; grandchildren Adam and Leigha McManes; sister Sharon Mershon and by nephew Mike (Tracy) Mershon.  Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with burial to follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Kingston.  Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home.   Memorial contributions are suggested to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, P.O.
