David Edgington

David Keith Edgington, 78 of Circleville, died September 28, 2014 at Adena Hospital. He was born October 21, 1935 in Circleville, the son of Lloyd and Marvene (French) Edgington. He was a 1954 graduate of Circleville High School. For 22 years he held manager jobs with A&P Tea Company in Lancaster, Xenia, Springfield, Waverly and Urbana and 3 Columbus area stores. The next 20 years he worked at Dupont and retired in 1998. Starting in 1980, he ran long distance for 17 years until a knee replacement caused him to start walking for exercise. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia A. (Harber) Edgington; brother-in-law, George D. Dresbach and nephews, Todd Mancini and Kevin Callihan. He is survived by his children, Keith Michael Edgington and Julie A. Gates; grandchildren, Ian Michael Gates and Tonya Edgington; sisters, Patricia Dresbach, Doris (Fred) DiDemenico, Rita (Lowell) Rader and Melinda (Bill) Boggs; best buddy, Bob Cullums; special friend, Jeanie Brown, (those 4 years with Jeanie was a very special time in my life. I will never forget you Jeanie. Remember our good times together, there were many) and special love, Ruth Ann Roush. Funeral service will be held 12:30 p.m Thursday October 2, 2014 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
