Delmer Rhodes

Delmer Richard Rhodes, 80, of Circleville went to be with the Lord on January 12, 2017 at 4:10 a.m. surrounded by his family. He retired from Becton Dickinson as a polymer scientist after 28 years of service. When he retired, his hobbies were golfing, woodworking and spending time with his family. He was known for his sense of humor and his great outlook on life. Delmer was preceded in death by his parents; Delmer W. Rhodes and Opal J. (Doughty) Rhodes. He is survived by his wife of 58 years; Dale (Ward) Rhodes, his son; Rick D. (Colleen Wegley) Rhodes, his daughters; Belynda K. (Rhodes) Alvey, Melissa (Missi) D. Rhodes, Connie L. (Tim) Ratliff and his granddaughter; Lucresia J. (Alvey) Coleman (Charlie Coleman) and by many cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends that have become family throughout the years. He was an amazing man, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. Cremation will follow. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4-7 p.m.
