Dianna L. Parker, 71, of Whisler, Ohio, passed away on September 1, 2023 after a brief illness leaving behind her loving husband of 49 years, Charlie, and children Carman and Craig.
Dianna was born in July 1952 to P. Dwight and Norma R. Johnson in Columbus, Ohio. The oldest of three daughters, Dianna graduated from Teays Valley in 1970. In December 1973 she married Charlie Parker and had two children. After high school Dianna worked in cosmetology for over 30 years, she also worked briefly at TriMold (FKA Circle Plastics) and PICCA. She most enjoyed her time at PICCA as a shuttle driver taking people all over central Ohio for appointments. After 12 years at PICCA she retired to focus on caring for her husband.
Being a diehard OSU Football and Basketball fan, Dianna spent fall Saturdays and most of the winter cheering on her Buckeyes. Many who knew Dianna also knew she liked cooking and was always interested in the latest kitchen gadgets. She had a special place in her heart for cardinals and lady bugs which she displayed in some form around the house. In recent years she had taken to feeding the backyard birds and enjoyed seeing what would come in for a visit.
Dianna was preceded in death by her parents and brother in-law Samuel Parker. She is survived by her husband Charlie, children Carman (Jarred) Lawler and Craig Parker, sisters Darlene (Thomas) Gifford and Denise (Thomas) Goodwin, sister in-law Judy Parker, and several loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
