Dick Sowers

Dick Sowers, 69, of Circleville, died March 21, 2010 at Berger Hospital. He was born August 24, 1940, in Circleville, the son of Leroy C. and Helen (Giffin) Sowers. He was retired from Reynolds Aluminum, served in National Guard and loved to fish and attend flea markets. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Ruby Sowers and brother Calvin “Lew” Sowers. He is survived by his wife; Emma (Blankenship) Sowers, children; Tina (Michael) Richards, Bryan (Kim) and D. J. (Erica) Sowers, grandchildren; Carmella (Judy), Dustin, Emily, Jonathan, Michelle, Tiffany, Tyler, Alexandra and Collin; Judy’s sons Ryan and Matt, brother, Butch (Sue) Sowers and sisters; Cora Fields, Ruth (Jerry) Mettler, Helen Bragg, Anna (Jack) Allen and Waldena (Dale) Hendricks. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Amanda Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Family requests memorial contributions to Berger Hospice.
