Donald Ray Lintner, age 87 of Circleville went to be with Jesus on April 27, 2016. “Don” was born August 1, 1928 in Franklin County, Columbus, Ohio to Earl Reuben Lintner and Emma Marie Graumlich. He was raised in Gahanna, Ohio and graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School in 1945. Don was an avid follower of Jesus Christ and he credits Jimmy Swaggert with leading him to salvation. Don was kind and most generous to everyone that he met, greeting everyone with “Good Morning.” He was a great lover of Draft Horses with which he farmed for 31 years. Don bought his first team of Belgian Workhorses, a pair of mother and daughter mares at the age of 16 with his Grandpa Zif Graumlich. He moved to Pickaway County in 1949 and started dairying with a herd of Holstein Cows. Most of Don’s crop farming and hay making was done with the team. Later in years, Don was a reputable and respected dealer of fine Holstein Dairy Cattle in the US and Canada. With the progress of machinery, crop production and efficiency, the team was sold for a number of years. Don’s passion for his team of horses was never lost. In 1979, a team of Percherons was purchased. The 110 acre farm produced 40 tons of pumpkins and 100’s of dozens of sweet corn each year until 2012. At the age of 85 Don retired from farming in 2013. Preceded in death by parents, special uncle Elmer Lintner and special aunt Ruth MacIntosh. Also, great granddaughter Audrey Elizabeth Walsh. Don is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Theresa Jacqueline Couchie (Cochae) Lintner. Together they raised 7 daughters; Sheila Dawn (Jeff) Writsel, Christy Sue (Bob) Diltz, Aunda Lu (Scott) Watters, Brenna Colene (HL) Gibson, Lisa Ann (Eric) Berlin, Donna Raye (John) Haller and Tonya Marie “Toni” (Alan) Sutton. He also leaves 18 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, special friend David Carson, sister Betty Whitacre, brother Larry (Helen) Lintner and brother Beck (Barb) Lintner.
