Donna C. Johnson (76) Circleville, Ohio entered Heaven to meet her savior on January 30, 2024.

Born June 14,1947 in Rocky Hollow, West Virginia to the late Maggie (Holdren) Cox Ramsey and John Andrew Cox, Sr., she spent her childhood in the hills she would always call home. After graduation, Donna moved to Stoutsville, Ohio where she met and married the love of her life, Bob Johnson. She often said, “God sent me a good one” when talking about her husband.

If you had the privilege to know Donna, you know she never met a stranger. She had a way of making everyone feel comfortable and important. You had to be prepared when out shopping with her, because a 15-minute trip to Walmart would often turn into a 2-hour trip as she visited in the aisles with friends and strangers. You would often find Bob sitting on a bench at the front of the store waiting patiently.

Donna served many years as a Sunday School teacher at The First Church of Christ in Christian Union on Ohio Street. Known as a Prayer Warrior and Child of God, she shared the love and salvation of Jesus with everyone she met. She made an impacted on the lives of many people. Everywhere her children went someone would always say, “Aunt Donna is your mom? I just love her!”

Donna joins her infant daughter, Penny Jo; her “Mommy,” Maggie Ramsey; sister, Rosella Howery, and great-grandson, Kash Barnes in Heaven. What a joyous reunion they must be having.

Donna left a lasting legacy. A large family who love her. Those left behind to cherish her memory; her husband of 55 years, Robert E. Johnson, son, Don (Lisa) Johnson of Amanda, son, Curt Johnson of Circleville, daughter, Rebecca Johnson (Alex Miller) of Circleville, sister, Margaret (Dave) Lemaster of Amanda and brother, John Cox of Princeton, WV. Grandchildren: Alisha, Jonathan, Ethan, Seth, Levi, Maggie, Molly, and Mandy. Great-Grandchildren: Kane, Kara, Kaytlynn, Amiya, Brylie, Aubrey, Nora, Penelope, Bentley, Kaden, Ryder, Olivia, Harper, and twin girls due in April, along with many nieces and nephews. Also, special friends Bob and Jean Dollison and Dean and Shirley Queen.

The family would like to thank Fairhope Hospice and The Pickering House of Lancaster for their exceptional care.
