Doris I. Disbennett, 76, of Adelphi, died October 1, 2009 at Adena Medical Center. She was born October 22, 1932 in Hocking County, the daughter of Harold and Betty (Miller) Febes. She was retired from Logan Elm School District with 25 years of service, attended Adelphi United Methodist Church, Laurel Hills United Methodist Church and was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, E. F. “Tom” Disbennett and brothers, Tom, Charles and Leo. She is survived by her daughters, Tootsy (Doug) Willard of Laurelville and Suellen “Susie” (Ron) Ott of Adelphi; 5 grandchilden, Anja, Doug and Ben (Judy) Willard and Jeremiah and Matthew Ott; 5 great grandchildren, Kaitlin, Kari, Jessica and Sara Willard and Brady Ott; brother, Robert James (Linda) Febes of Circleville and sisters, Patricia Hettinger of Amanda and Phyllis Swackhammer of Laurelville. Funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday October 4, 2009 at the Laurel Hills U.M.C. with Pastor James Vandagriff officiating. Burial will be in Green Summit Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-7 p.m. Saturday at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimers Association.
