Dorothy Cook

Dorothy Ann Cook (“Ann”), 65, of Circleville died on Monday, April 11, 2016 at Mayfair Village Retirement Center after a lengthy battle with lung cancer. She was born on August 19, 1950 in Circleville, OH to the late William Lindsey and Helen Pauline (Johnson) Cook. Ann graduated from Circleville High School and worked for the State of Ohio for several years. Eventually she joined Berger Hospital in the registration department, where she was employed until her retirement. She was an active EMT volunteer for many years, and was very proud to serve her community. She took delight in her family, her garden, and all animals – especially her dogs. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor and her creative Halloween costumes. Ann was preceded in death by her brother, William Alexander Cook, brother-in-law Robert Susor, and ex-husband Lionel Lindsay. She is survived by her sister, Lindsey (Cook) Susor, sister-in-law, Peggy (Tootle) Cook, nephews; William Randall (Michelle) Cook, Robert Alexander (Ashley) Susor, nieces; Dr. Tracy (Cook) (David) Crouse, Kathleen (Susor) Cummings, great nephews and nieces: Jason, Brad, and Megan Crouse; Will, Nate, and Drew Cummings; Rachael Cook; and Robert Susor. A memorial gathering with light refreshments is scheduled on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 1-2pm at Wellman Funeral Home, 1455 N Court St, Circleville, OH 43113.
