Dorothy Mathias

Dorothy Jean Mathias, age 75, passed peacefully on November 12, 2024.  She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Neal Mathias.  She is also survived by her three children, who made up the entirety of her world, “her boys,” Wayne Birkhimer, Bruce (Angela) Birkhimer and Brad (Mary) Mathias.  Dorothy loved nothing more than being a grandmother to her many grandchildren.  Nothing made her smile more than being in their presence.  She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most.  She was the heart and soul of our family, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.  Dorothy never wanted to be the center of attention, so her services will be private for immediate family only.  Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
