Dorothy Styers

Dorothy Elizabeth Smith Styers, 99 of Circleville, passed to her heavenly home on November 26, 2012 at Crestview Rehab Facility. She was born August 3, 1913 in Lucasville, the daughter of Van Elsworth and Sarilda Kelly (Hall) Smith. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Harry Austin Styers; daughter, Marilyn L. Stauffer; siblings, Paul E. Smith, Sarah Smith, Violet May Clark, Harold Smith, Marion Irvin Smith and son-in-law, Glenn Heffner. She is survived by her sons, Harry D. (Beverly) Styers and Jeffrey D. (Ruth Ann) Styers; daughters, Ruth Heffner and Anne M. (James) Rooker; 8 grandchildren, Douglas Heffner, Rita Hanes, Pastor Jennifer Styers, David (Amy) Styers, Elizabeth (Charles) West, Mark (Arika) Rooker, Elizabeth Styers and Jeffrey Styers; 4 great granddaughters, Staci and Beth Heffner, Allison West and Anaya Woodruff; 4 great grandsons, Owen Heffner, Zachary Styers, Ahmed Woodruff and Ayden Rooker; 2 great great granddaughters, Ava Ried and Taelynn Van Fossen; loving aunt to several nieces and nephews. She loved her family and will be greatly missed by them. She loved God, her church family, many dear friends, the color red and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday November 30, 2012 at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, with Pastor Jennifer Styers and Pastor Greg Swann officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd UMC, 310 E. Main St. Circleville, OH 43113. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Crestview Manor Nursing Home. She was like a Grandmother to the therapy and patient care staff.
