Dorothy Young

Dorothy M. Young, 71, of Amanda, died July 4, 2010 at her residence. She was born December 3, 1938 in Hocking County, the daughter of Ernest A. and Anna B. (Pinkstock) Carrel. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Alva Carrel. She is survived by her husband, James R. Young; brothers, Truby Carrel of Lancaster, Vernie Carrel of Springfield, Delano Carrell of Rockbridge, Scotty Carrel of Lucasville and Homer Carrel of Rockbridge; sisters, Edna Brown and Wanda Petty, both of Lancaster and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday July 8, 2010 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
