Earl William McCombs 97 passed from this earthly body into the arms of his savior October 14th, 2024. Born July 7, 1927 to Floyd Harrison McCombs and Anna Virginia Coffield McCombs in Westerville, Ohio. Last surviving brother of Melvin McCombs, George McCombs, Ruth Siegfried, Marianna Rossiaky, and Larry McCombs.
Married to his sweetie Norma Jean Osborne Rutledge November 26, 1961 blending two families creating one family. Michael Rutledge (Terri), Bobbie Gregory (Bill deceased), Anne Nielsen (Dan), Crystal~Chrissy Bialkowski (Thomas). 8 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren. Numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and unofficial adopted kids.
Earl was a hardworking intelligent man who had many trades and interests through his life farmer, ice seller, movie projectionist, honorably discharged Navy WWII Veteran, roofer, painter, construction contractor Sears and Roebeck houses, salesman Montgomery Ward, Ice cream and Milkman, Industrial Engineer, Caretaker Church of God Campgrounds, Professional Sawdust Maker, Mr. Fix It, Poppa, Friend and Advisor. Earl was ordained in 1985, and always said "Wish I would have become a minister sooner, because besides chocolate Frosties, and cookies, leading someone to Christ was the best thing in life.
