Earl Rhodes

Earl G. Rhodes, 86, of Circleville, died December 4, 2012 at his residence. He was born August 16, 1926 in Gallia County, the son of Lawrence and Esther (McCombs) Rhodes. He was a WWII Navy veteran and was retired from A.E.P. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1st wife, Freda (Mets), 2nd wife, Dorothy Clark and 3rd. wife, Patricia Rooker; granddaughter, Melissa Kenworthy; step-son, Jeffrey Rooker and siblings, Walter, Richard, Joseph, Charles, Georgia, Nina, Dorothy and Clara. He is survived by his daughters, Marcia (Gary) Kenworthy of Circleville and Pattie Jo (Mike) Mehrle of Clarksburg; step-son, Johnny Rooker, Jr.; grandchildren, Mary-Crystal, Matthew and Nathan Kenworthy, Isaac Mehrle, Dustin McKean and Olivia Mehrle; step-grandchildren, Ashley and Brandon Rooker and Tanya Daniels; 4 step-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2012 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery with military graveside honors. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimers Association or Emmanuel United Methodist Church. The family wishes to give a special thank you to his caregivers Betty Seymour, Betty Myers, Debbie McGuckin, Joann Schlegler, Sue Goble, Jean Pontious, Donna Murphy and Berger Hospice.
