Edwin A. Meyer, 89, of Washington C.H. passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Clinton Memorial Hospital. Edwin was born October 23, 1926 in Dayton Ohio to Arnold and Mildred (Stein) Meyer. He married Marjorie (Pummell) on December 3, 1949. Edwin graduated from McKenly T.S. He was employed by NCR for 45 years and worked in Arlington, Texas, Corbin, Kentucky, Washington C.H. and Dayton Ohio. He was also employed by Wellman Funeral Home and Gusweilers. Ed attended Sugar Grove Methodist Church. Ed was a member of the Masons #107, a lifetime member of the VFW #4964 and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Ed was preceded in death by his parents; Arnold and Mildred, his step-father; Forrest Clem, 4 brothers; Gene, Bobby and James Meyer, Donny Clem and by sister; Marjorie. He is survived by his wife; Marjorie (Pummell) Meyer, a son Rob Meyer and two daughters; Janis (Chris) Alspaugh, Jenny (Jim) Evans, five grandchildren; Bree (Jamal) Joseph, Bridget Andrews, Erik Andrews, Scott (Kelly) McCoy and Shelli (Brian) Cartwright, 9 great grandchildren, 3 brothers; Dick Meyer, Dutch Clem and Dale Clem and by 3 sisters; Judy Rockhold, Mildred Tobin and Evie Moore and by a special nephew; Marty (Lisa) Meyer. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Sugar Grove United Methodist Church with Todd Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in Bloomingburg Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2. Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville is handling the arrangements.
