Elmer L. Karshner, 81, of Stoutsville, went home to God on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born July 16, 1930 in Carroll, the son of Leslie and Faye (Stewart) Karshner. He was a faithful husband, loving father, grandfather, brother and compassionate friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was retired from Sturm and Dillard Gravel Company and attended First Church of Christ in Christian Union. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Debra and Robin Karshner and brother, Durwin. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Grace (Arledge) Karshner; daughter, Anita (Jim) Senig of Circleville; grandsons, Adam and Aaron Senig, that were the joys of his life; brothers, Clyde (Patty) of Mt. Sterling, George (Beverly) of Wisconsin and Marvin (Pam) Karshner of Lancaster and sisters, Dorothy Sanders of Lancaster and Marian (Richard) Ensing of Michigan. He was also loved by numerous nieces, nephews and other family. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday August 6, 2011 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be held in Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
