Emma Jean (Harris) Hicks

Emma Hicks, 82, of Circleville passed away April 9, 2018 in Frankfort.  She was born on September 21, 1935 in Pike County to Wendell and Mindora (Smith) Harris.  After retirement from General Electric she worked for Circleville Herald and later was a greeter at Walmart.  She was a former member of Second Baptist Church, Busy Bee Modulators and Lucky Six Modulators.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Hicks, son Terry Hicks and two sisters Eleanor and Carol.  Emma is survived by her children Perry (Cheri) Hicks and Vicky Alexander, three grandchildren Travis Hicks and Amber and Brandi Alexander, three great grandchildren, brothers Wendell (Loraine), Richard “Joe” (Connie) and Ronnie (Kathy) Harris and by sister Ruth Crosswhite.  Funeral services will be held on Friday April 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with burial to follow in Forest Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 p.m.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Alzheimer’s Association Central Ohio Chapter, 1379 Dublin Road, Columbus, Ohio 43215.   Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
