Enoch O. Toops, 72, of Circleville, died October 20, 2011 at Logan Elm Health Care. He was born August 29, 1939 in Madison County, the son of Frederick and Elizabeth (Carter) Toops. He was a U.S. Army veteran, retired from E. I. DuPont and former member of Saltcreek Tarlton Fire Department He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Clara (Hedges) Toops and brothers, Francis, John and Russell. He is survived by his children, Carla (Kevin) Withers of Circleville and Andrew Toops of Columbus; grandchildren, Jeremiah and Chelsea; brothers, Larry (Wanda) Toops of Union Furnace and Jerry (Lee) Toops of Zaleski and sisters, Maridel Toops of Union Furnace, JoAnne (Bill) Webb of Logan, Pam (Steve) Venters of Delaware, Melinda K. Toops of Yellow Springs and Susan Giuiliane of Chicago. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday October 22, 2011 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Tarlton Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Saltcreek Tarlton Fire Dept. or Resident Activity Committee at Logan Elm Health Care.
