Ernest Paul Haddox, known to his loved ones as Paul, passed away on September 29, 2023, at the age of 82, in Circleville, Ohio peacefully and, as he always was, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on December 4, 1940, in Circleville, Ohio, and was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Paul was a retired construction worker who dedicated many years of his life to his craft. He was known for his hardworking nature and his dedication to providing for his family. Paul's commitment to his work was a reflection of his strong work ethic and his determination to ensure a secure future for his loved ones.
In addition to his career, Paul had a passion for pigeon racing and was a lifetime member of the Circleville Pigeon Club. He found solace and joy in this hobby, and it brought him great satisfaction throughout his life.
Paul will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Haddox, his son Paul Haddox, his daughters Lisa Schultz, Cheryl Mogan, Deanna Harber, and adopted daughters Kasey Haddox, Aryana Haddox, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Amber Horkey, Shawna Mogan, Alauna Haddox, Jake Harber, Nicholas Hawkins, Alexia Hawkins, Jared Layne, Justen Kinnison, Avyanna Trent, Draven Seymour, Rylee Johnson, Kara Colley, and brothers Robert Haddox, Kenny Haddox, Kermit Haddox, as well as sisters Carolyn Hamilton and Juanita Haddox.
Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Anna McClain, his brothers Donald Haddox, Herald Haddox, Herbert Haddox, William Haddox, Tommy Haddox, and his sisters Norma Jean Boltenhouse, Linda Seymour, Sandra Thompson, and Betty Ann Quincel.
A service to honor Paul’s life will be held on October 2, 2023, at Wellman Funeral Home in Circleville, Ohio, from 1 PM to 2 PM. The compassionate staff at Wellman Funeral Home is assisting the family during this difficult time.
Paul’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his family-oriented nature, his caring personality, and his hardworking spirit. May he rest in peace.
