Jeanne Drury Bach, age 88, died Aug. 8, 2011.

She was born March 30, 1923 in Chillicothe Ohio, daughter of Earl J. and Beatrice Mathis Drury.

She was an early veteran on the editorial staffs of the Chillicothe Gazette, Columbus Citizen and Circleville Herald and later was a licensed real estate salesperson with E.R. Bennett Realtors for 15 years. She was also a charter member of the organizer group, former officer and life member of the Pickaway County Historical Society. Later she worked on the steering committee for the formation of the Pickaway County Y.M.C.A. and served on the board and as secretary. She was a Red Cross volunteer and Berger Hospital volunteer and was active in promoting the arts in Pickaway County.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Edwin Bach, Jr.

She is survived by two daughters, Betsy Ann (Douglas) Moore of Worthington, Ohio; and Barbara Jeanne (Jerry ) Cook of Germantown, Tenn. One sister, Joan (Joseph G.) Kear; two brothers, Robert and Joseph Drury all of Chillicothe; four grandchildren, Matthew and Julie Moore and Krista Cook (David) Jones and Andrea Cook (Harvey) Kay and 3 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 13th, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Worthington Christian Village 165 Highbluffs Blvd. Columbus, Ohio 43235 with a memorial service to follow at 2:00. Please join us for a celebration of her life.

Those who wish may make memorial donations to the Circleville Y.M.C.A. Pickaway Historical Society, Hospice of Pickaway County or Worthington Christian Village. Arrangements were completed by the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville.
