Esther Brown

Esther Marie Brown, 91, of Ashville, died February 8, 2010 at Berger Hospital. She was born April 30, 1918 in Ashville, the daughter of Woodford Samuel and Mary Rose (Beatty) Ward. She was a hairdresser since 1939, member of Zion United Methodist Church and Seventh Day Adventist Church in Lancaster, where she had played both the piano and organ and was a great supporter of Pickaway County 4-H. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Emerson F. Brown and brothers, Andy and Charles W. Ward. She is survived by her sister, Annabelle Hines of Ashville; sisters-in-law, Donna Mae Ward and Anna Belle Ward of Ashville; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday February 10, 2010 at Reber Hill Cemetery with Pastor Ty Myers officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion U.M.C. 42 Plum St. Ashville, OH 43103. Arrangements were completed by the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville.
