Esther Henson

On August 1, 2012 Esther Mae (Stump) Henson 86, of Laurelville, went home to join her parents, sisters, brother and baby daughter. She was born in Hocking County on January 29, 1926 to Carl and Fanchion (Fetherolf) Stump, the oldest daughter of 10 siblings. She attended Laurelville High School and retired after 32 years from General Electric in Circleville. Esther is survived by children, Barb Henson, David Henson (Helen Chapman) and Kate Bode of Laurelville, Sally (Roger) Valentine, Kris (Keith Lowery) Henson and John (Melissa)Henson of Circleville; grandchildren Heidi (Royce Rinehart), Scott Valentine, Whitney (Waylon Unger) Culbertson of Laurelville, Edie (Terry Speakman) Bode and Kelly (Terry) Browning of Circleville and Kendall Henson of Grove City; great grandchildren, Shayla Rinehart, Autumn (Kody) Payne, Hannah Rinehart, Jersey and Jaxson Sharp of Laurelville, Nathan Speakman, Madison and Cohl Seyfang and Isaiah Browning of Circleville; great great grandchildren, Addison Rayne Hiles and Karter Landon Payne; step-grandchildren, Butch (Pam) Valentine of Laurelville and Corky (Wayne) Cowdery of Washington Court House; step-great grandchildren, Holly Whitcraft of Columbus, Tyson (Stephanie) Whitcraft of Kingston and Kylie Valentine of Lancaster; great great step-grandson Tucker Jeffery Whitcraft; sisters, Alice Grove of Laurelville and Betty Hatzo of Tarlton, Audrey (Bob) Azbell and Marlene McNichols of Circleville, Marie Whitcraft of Columbus; brother, Carl Pat (Mary) Stump of Amanda, several nieces and nephews and special friends, Linda, B.J. and Connor VanFossen of Laurelville. She was preceded in death by parents, infant daughter, Beverly Joyce Henson; sisters, Rose Norton, Ruth Moore and brother, Carl Lloyd Stump. Honoring her requests, there will be no visitation, funeral or memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Laurelville Fire Department in c/o Butch Valentine, 19921 Thompson Ridge Rd. Laurelville, OH 43135 in Esther’s memory. Arrangements were completed by the Wellman Funeral Home.
