Eva Louise Ricketts Tatman, 94, of South Perry, OH, passed away on April 30, 2017 at Arcadia Acres Nursing Home. She was born on January 29, 1923 in Hocking County, OH, the daughter of Benjamin Harrison and Nada (Lyons) Ricketts. Eva was a 1941 graduate of Laurelville High School, a member of South Perry United Methodist Church, South Perry UMC Women’s Group, Senior Centers at Laurelville and Circleville, Laurel Valley Grange, bowling league at Circleville and authored “The History of South Perry” book for the Hocking County Historical Society. She had worked at restaurants in Laurelville, shoe factory in Lancaster and retired from The State of Ohio Parks System having worked at Old Man’s Cave. She was a loving and caring Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother. In January she celebrated her 94th Birthday with family and friends and two sets of five generations present. Eva is survived by two sons, Jerry R. (Linda) Tatman of Logan and John R. (Barb) Tatman of Indianapolis, Indiana and daughter, Renee L. Lewis of South Perry; seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, five step-great grandchildren and two great grandsons; a brother, Frank Ricketts of Mississippi; a brother-in-law, Larry Archer of Michigan and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul in 1983, infant son, Ronald William, infant granddaughter, Kendra Jo; sisters, Mary McNeal and Betty Archer, brothers, John Melvin, Ezra Lincoln, Harry (Whitney), Robert and Don Ricketts. Funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday May 4 with viewing one hour before the service, at South Perry United Methodist, Robert and Don Ricketts. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM. Thursday May 4, with viewing one hour before the service, South Perry United Methodist Church with Pastor Beverly Stahr officiating. Burial will follow the service at Olive Cemetery, South Perry, OH. Friends and family may call from 2:00 p.m.-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3 at Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville, OH.
