Evelyn Sue (Jordan) Chaney, known to all as Susie, age 73, of Williamsport, Ohio went to be with the Lord on October 15, 2016 with her family by her side. Susie was born on July 28, 1943 in Ross County. She was the daughter of the late George W. and Francis Margaret (Garrison) Jordan. Proceeded in death by spouse Rev. Victor Vernon Chaney, brothers George Edward, David Allen, Daniel Kay, sister Mary Margaret (Self) and stepson JR Chaney. Susie is survived by sisters Betty Jo (Ralph) Cockerill and Joann Marie (Charlie) Cowens and brother Harvey Lee (Sherry) Jordan. She is survived by sons Kenneth Seymour of Williamsport, Kevin (Betty) Seymour of Circleville, Timothy (Ida) Seymour of Williamsport and Scott (Teresa) Seymour of Circleville daughter Georgia (Don) Jenkins of Hallsville and step daughter Jana (Roger) Adda of Chillicothe. Susie was blessed with 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Also left to mourn are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews who will miss Susie terrible. She retired as a nurse’s assistant GS-5 after 21 years of service from the V.A. Medical Center in Ross County. She received several accolades and a Technical Assistant Career Award from the House of Representatives of the 121st General Assembly of Ohio. Evelyn was an avid garden enthusiast. She loved wildlife and considered all the God’s creatures beautifully entertaining. She did not believe in wasting a thing, so she recycled to keep the Earth clean. Not only was she mindful of the Earth around her, she was cautious of the economy; she watched every penny earned while having a giving heart. She always had a song on her lips and a smile on her face. She was and will remain the “Sunshine” of her family’s life. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home with Teresa Seymour officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3-7.
