Farrell R. Manson, 71, of Circleville, died May 6, 2012 at Berger Hospital. He was born August 20, 1940 in Pickaway County, the son of Charles and Ida (Acord) Manson. He was an U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War; retired as a boiler operator from E.I. Dupont; member of Masonic Lodge #309, 32nd Degree Mason, Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus, Shriners International and charter member of Moose Lodge #2440. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Jessica Kelch; brother, Joseph Manson; mother and father-in-law, Woodrow and Mary Dumm and brother-in-law, Bill Waits and half-brothers, Carl and Everett Manson. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Dumm) Manson; sons, Randy Manson of Laurelville and Timothy Manson of Circleville; grandchildren, Ryne, Shaelyn and Codie Manson, Christopher Kollman; step-grandson, Chip Van Pelt; brother, Philip (Patricia) Manson of Circleville; sister, Fern Waits of Lancaster; brother-in-law, Larry (Pauline) Dumm of Alaska; mother of his children, Sandra Manson of Circleville; many nieces, nephews, cousins and grand dog, Cleveland Brown. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday May 10, 2012 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with military graveside service. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Masonic Services at 7:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Berger Hospice.
